— Stories that connect

In order to stay relevant it is vital to engage with the citizens of Amsterdam. Based on Nina Simons' 'Participatory Museum' theory we created a platform with ‘stories that connect’. Exhibitions become "of, by, and for all." Participation with visitors is key. Those who live and breathe Amsterdam must have a voice in the programming. This participation ensures continued relevance.

With stories the museum can craft engaging perspectives filled with local experiences, clarifying explainer videos, relevant collection items and engaging interactive elements.

— Of, by, and for all.

Amsterdam Museum is not a traditional museum. It covers multiple locations, exhibitions and activities all over the city and online. It has evolved into an actively engaging center for the people of Amsterdam. Always, "of, by, and for all.".
